Photography is modern day magic. Being able to hit a button and have that moment in time saved for you to look back at whenever you want would have literally been science fiction 200 years ago.
I have lived in Bristol all my life, but I try to travel as much as possible. Even if it’s just a weekend in Devon. Photography for me is just a hobby and I am building my career in engineering, but outside of work, I spend a lot of time with a camera in my hand.
I have no qualifications or formal training in photography, my skills are all self-taught through trial and error. It’s taken a lot of practice and many hours of reading/research to get to where I am today, but it has been worth it. I am member of the Royal Photographic Society and regularly attend events to gain knowledge and give advice to the wider photographic community.
My photographs are pretty much how they have come out the camera and I keep post production to a bare minimum. I like to try and keep the scene as accurate to how it looks in real life as possible.
Over the last few years I have had my work published in magazines, newspapers, websites, calendars, etc and I am excited to see what the future has in store.
